Novena

Novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe and Saint Juan Diego

December 4-12, 2020

This past Sunday we began our Advent journey together.  At Juan Diego, our students gather on the first Sunday of Advent to transform our sacred spaces to symbolize the beauty and importance of these next 4 weeks.  The gathering together and the sense of community created is probably more important than the decor that is placed.  All of us, our students especially, are in need of community now more than ever.

During December we also celebrate the feast day of our namesake Saint Juan Diego, on December 9th and our patroness, Our Lady of Guadalupe, on December 12th.

While some of our opportunities to be together physically during this Advent are diminished, we are still able to unite in prayer.  We have found that, now more than ever, gathering together to pray, whether physically in the same room or through the wonders of technology, we are able to connect to our Lord and to one another just as we always have.

We invite you to join us this Friday and Saturday for Nocturnal Adoration in the Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe on our Campus.  Adoration will begin on Friday evening at 7:00 pm and will end with Benediction on Saturday at 7:00 pm.   We will be socially distancing and wearing masks.  Please feel free to join our students during the night in the presence of Our Lord.

Additionally, on December 4th we will begin a Novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe and Saint Juan Diego. The novena will be broadcast daily on our YouTube channel at 8:30 am from the chapel.  We invite you to join us as we pray this special novena.

During this Advent season, please know that the Juan Diego community keeps you close to us through prayer and we humbly ask that you include us, especially our students, in yours.
